Lexington CommUNITY was founded in 2006. Eight years later, it has grown to host an annual town-wide Day of Service, engaging the talents and energy of many different individuals and groups of people in town. Our first Annual Day of Service, in 2014, saw over 200 volunteers -- aged 5 to 85 -- come together to serve over 1,000 people.
Our mission is to unite the community of Lexington by reflecting on and celebrating our diverse history, our present, and our future to find common ground. In the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King, we offer educational events, engage in meaningful conversations, and social action.
Incorporated into the Lexington Town Celebrations Committee in 2014, we look forward to continued expansion, so that our town can be of service to even more families and individuals in underserved communities.
