3rd Annual Lexington MLK Day of Service
Monday, January 18, 2016
9:00 am - 4:00 pm
The MLK Day of Service team is busy preparing for the 3rd Annual Lexington MLK day of Service. Please stay tuned for web updates, including details about the day's programming and online volunteer sign up.
We want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! It has been a challenging 2015, but we are reminded daily of the deep values held in our community.
Join your family, friends and neighbors at a Community-wide Thanksgiving service led by our Lexington Interfaith Clergy Association (LICA) on Tuesday, November 24th, at 7:30pm held at Temple Isaiah (55 Lincoln Street). This year, the focus will be on “Listening” and how listening leads us in our work together for greater understanding and justice for all.
In particular, LICA will listen and engage in particular stories that are rising up in Lexington: stories of and responses to hunger in our community, stress on our youth, issues of diversity and difference, and how the history of Lexington as a refuge for refugees can help inform our future. Please come - and bring a friend! Refreshments and conversation will follow the service,
